Specializing in Pediatric, Adult and Senior Care Dermatology
Dr. Sidney Curry is a native of the Florida Panhandle with a Bachelor of Science Honors degree from Florida State University. Dr. Curry received his Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forrest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem and did his internship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Curry did his residency in Dermatology at Tulane/LSU School of Medicine (Charity Hospital) in New Orleans and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville.
After completing his final year as Chief Resident in Dermatology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Dr. Curry remained on the faculty as a clinical instructor, researcher and teacher at both the medical school and Dermatology Residency.
While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Curry received an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham to study under the world’s foremost authority on Malignant Melanoma and pigmented skin lesions, Dr. Charles Balch.
Dr. Curry later moved to Atlanta and entered into a private practice of Dermatology in the Buckhead area. He eventually merged his practice with a practice that had been the first Dermatology practice in the state of Georgia and was started by the uncle of golf legend, Robert T. “Bobby” Jones.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Curry also was a volunteer clinical instructor and teacher in the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic of Children’s Healthcare/ Scottish Rite of Atlanta.
Dr. Curry has an interest in all aspects of Adult and Pediatric Dermatology as well as the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. He is a fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Curry is the author of multiple dermatology journal articles.
Dr. Curry’s brother is a cardiologist in the area and one of the founders of the Florida Heart Group.
